DUBAI 15 November 2017: It’s just days away until iconic diva Jennifer Lopez hits the stage at the Autism Rocks Arena on November 17th, and fans have one more thing to look forward to as Lebanese singer, Lea Makhoul, has been confirmed to open the show.

Lea Makhoul, who is part of Red Bull Opening Acts (RBOA), is best known for her time as a contestant and runner up on TV series ‘Star Academy Arabic’ in 2014, after which she shot to fame. Since then, she’s had three hit singles including her debut Give Me Sunlight, which reached NRJ Lebanon’s top 20 for over 5 weeks.

More recently, Lea signed to Universal Music Mena and released two tracks “All I Know” and “Paradise” with her third coming out soon. Lea’s love of performing has seen her play at venues across her hometown of Beirut, including the NRJ MusicTour which receives more than 10,000 attendees, and concert-goers can be assured she will put on a stellar opening performance.

Red Bull Opening Acts (RBOA) is an initiative the beverage behemoth started in the UAE back in 2013. RBOA provides artists from the UAE and the wider Arab world with the chance to perform ahead of some of the world’s biggest acts when they come to play for tens of thousands of people in the Emirates.

Keeping the party going after Jennifer Lopez’s high-octane performance is Lebanese DJ and founder of radio station Mix FM, DJ Rodge. Easily the most celebrated DJ in the region, Rodge has multiple weekly residencies including Thursdays at BO18 Beirut, Fridays at The Village Dbayeh and Saturdays at Igloo Mzaar. All these sold-out venues have predictably resulted with Rodge being awarded “Best DJ and Club Promoter” by the Syndicate of Clubs and Restaurants of Lebanon in both 2016 and 2017.

For those wanting to get up-close-and-personal to JLo herself, the official pre-party will be held at Dubai’s hottest new venue, Base Club in Dubai’s D3 District on Thursday November 16th. More than a traditional nightlife venue, guests will have the opportunity to dance away with the star under the sparkle of the night sky of the huge open-air pavilion. Tickets and VIP tables are available to purchase in advance directly from the venue.

On concert-night, Jenny from the block fans are urged to “get on the floor” early as doors will open at 5pm and there will be a variety of food and beverages available to purchase throughout the evening.

Additionally, concert-goers are advised to utilise RTA taxi services to get to the venue and leave plenty of time in order to enjoy the atmosphere.

There are two access roads to the venue from Emirates Road and Al Ain Road, with accessible one-way entrance to the show until 9pm and one-way exit after the show. After the concert free bus services will take guests to three locations; Dubai Mall, Mall of Emirates and Deira City Centre.
