Marina Towers: Tiger fire – after Torch blaze – out

fire started in balcony

DUBAI 8 August 2017: A new fire that broke out in Dubai Marina – this time in Tiger Tower – has been put out.

There were no injuries.

“Dubai Civil Defence has put out a minor fire which started on a balcony of Tiger Tower in the Marina. No injuries were reported,” said the Dubai Media Office in a tweet.

Reports said that clothes left to dry on the balcony caught fire.

This is the second fire in a short space of time in Dubai Marina.

Earlier, the Torch Tower went ablaze. Dubai Marina’s Torch Tower is the world’s fifth tallest residential building with 86 floors.

The major blaze made headlines around the world – but thanks to the Dubai Civil Defence – no fatalities and no injuries were reported.
