Mohammed invited to visit Indian state of Kerala

DUBAI 16 February 2019: His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai,  received the Chief Minister of the South Indian State of Kerala Pinarayi Vijayan and his accompanying delegation.

Sheikh Mohammed discussed with him means of developing the historic relations between the UAE and India, and especially the State of Kerala. His Highness also underlined the keenness of the leaderships of both countries to expand these strong relations for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.

Sheikh Mohammed received an official invitation from Chief Minister Vijayan to visit the State of Kerala, where the leadership of the UAE enjoys great respect.

The meeting was attended by Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashemy, Minister of State for International Cooperation; Mohammed Ibrahim Al Shaibani, Director General of His Highness the Ruler’s Court in Dubai; and Khalifa Saeed Sulaiman, the Director General of Dubai’s Department of Protocol and Hospitality.

UAE condemns terrorist attack on police force in Kashmir

ABU DHABI: The UAE has condemned the terrorist attack on security forces in Kashmir, on Thursday that left scores of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) personnel dead and injured.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation said in a statement that the UAE “condemns this terrorist act,” reiterating the country’s principled and unequivocal position rejecting all forms of violence and terrorism.

”The UAE stands in solidarity with the government and people of India in their fight against violence and extremism,” the Ministry said in a statement to Wam.

The ministry called on the international community to unify efforts in confronting extremism and terrorism that pose a threat to global security and stability.

The ministry expressed heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to those injured during the terrorist act.
