Half of UAE population gets first vaccine dose

ABU DHABI 13 February 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) announced that 109,587 additional doses of the Covid-19 vaccine were given.

The total number of doses provided stands at 4,901,795 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 49.56 doses per 100 people.

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 164,551 additional Covid-19 tests, and announced 3,307 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 342,974.

MoHAP also announced 12 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 986.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all, said Wam.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 3,404 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 323,191.
