Covid Update: Total number of cases cross 440,000

ABU DHABI 22 March 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 237,479 additional Covid-19 tests, and announced 1,717 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 440,355.

‏ MoHAP also announced five deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,438.

‏ The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

‏ MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,960 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 422,696.

The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 7,298,768 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 73.80 doses per 100 people.
