Australian singer Natalie Imbruglia performs LIVE in Dubai

DUBAI 6 December 2018: With only two days remaining until the now-sold-out Bovet 1822 Artists for Peace and Justice (APJ) ‘Brilliant is Beautiful’ gala, organisers have confirmed the star-studded evening’s entertainment and high-profile auction items, including a live painting by artist and philanthropist Sacha Jafri, finished during the evening, with the assistance of event hosts Ben Stiller, Susan Sarandon, the Duchess of York, Madeleine Stowe and Caroline Stanbury, before auctioning the piece off to the gala’s guests.

The exclusive charity gala, taking place in the UAE for the first time, follows on from previous APJ events held in London, Toronto, Cannes and Los Angeles and benefits educational initiatives for both APJ and UAE philanthropic organisation Dubai Cares. Organised by Dubai’s Fete Events and with the support of Etihad Airways,

‘Brilliant is Beautiful’ have also confirmed highlights of the evening’s entertainment for the gala’s 240 guests. including a performance by Australian singer-songwriter Natalie Imbruglia. A multi-talented performer, Natalie’s career has seen her achieve platinum selling albums, successful movie, stage and TV roles, as well as acclaimed live tours. She has won multiple awards including; MTV Video Music Awards, Billboard Music Award, Brits Awards, and was presented with an ‘Outstanding Achievement Award’ by the Australian Recording Industry (ARIA’s).

Natalie’s international smash hit and radio staple to this day, “Torn” has sold well over a million copies and has never left the Top 200 radio airplay chart since its release. Her debut album, “Left of The Middle,” sold 7 million copies with career album sales surpassing 10 million. Imbruglia will be joined by international DJ Beto and local artist Layla Kardan who will also take to the stage throughout the night.

In addition to the Sacha Jafri painting, organisers have also announced other money-can’t-buy items available for charitable bidders at the event’s live auction, including exclusive ‘experiences’ with the stars attending the event. Actor Sean Penn and his organisation JP/HRO has donated a Golden Globes experience including flights, hotel stay and the opportunity to meet the actor, while the Duchess of York will invite a winning bidder to have afternoon tea with her in London.
