NEW YORK 24 September 2017: The United Arab Emirates has signed reciprocal pacts with four new nations allowing their citizens to get visa-on-arrival in the UAE.
The UAE has declared that it wants its passport to be among the five most powerful in the world.
The UAE and the Republic of Vanuatu signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), to exempt UAE nationals carrying diplomatic, private, VIP and regular passports and nationals of Vanuatu carrying diplomatic and private passports from obtaining pre-entry visas while travelling to both countries, said Wam.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al-Zeyoudi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment of the UAE, and Bruno Leingkone, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Vanuatu, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly in New York.
The MoU shall enter into force 30 days after the date of its formal signature.
UAE, El Salvador sign MoU on entry-visa exemption
The UAE and El Salvador have signed an MoU to exempt UAE nationals carrying diplomatic, private, VIP and regular passports and nationals of El Salvador carrying diplomatic passports from obtaining pre-entry visas while travelling to both countries.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Sultan bin Ahmad Sultan Al Jaber, Minister of State, and El Salvador Hugo Martinez Bonilla, Foreign Minister of El Salvador, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
The agreement will take effect from the date of completion of constitutional procedures in both countries.
UAE, Saint Lucia sign MoU on pre-entry visa requirement exemption
The UAE and Saint Lucia signed an MoU to exempt UAE nationals carrying diplomatic, private, VIP and regular passports and nationals of Saint Lucia carrying diplomatic passports from obtaining pre-entry visas while travelling to each countries.
The MoU was signed by Dr. Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi and Saint Lucia’s Prime minister, Allen Chastanet, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the UN General Assembly.
The MoU will enter into force 30 days after the date of its formal signature.
UAE and Chad sign MoU on entry-visa exemption
Earlier, the UAE and the Republic of Chad signed an MoU on the exemption of UAE nationals holding diplomatic, private, official, mission and regular passports, and Chadian citizens having diplomatic passports, from pre-visa entry requirement.
The MoU was signed by Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, and Hussein Ibrahim Taha, Chadian Minister of Foreign Affairs, on the sidelines of the 72nd session of the United Nations General Assembly in New York.
