Fadi Abu Shehade clinches UAE qualifying spot
DUBAI 5 February 2018: On board his Nissan SX-240, Fadi Abu Shehadeh edged out a very competitive Faisal Al Zaabi in a Nissan Sylvia to clinch the win at the Red Bull Car Park Drift UAE Qualifier, held at the Abu Dhabi Corniche as part of the Red Bull Air Race weekend, while third place went to Hazza Al Hosani in his Nissan Silvia.
Abu Shehadeh will represent Series Final later in the year against competitors flying the flags of Egypt, Kuwait, Tunisia, Morocco, Turkey, Algeria, Jordan, Mauritius and Lebanon.
“I am very proud of my team and dedicate this win to them. I can’t wait to represent the UAE at the Red Bull Car Park Drift finals, and hope to bring the title back here. To the UAE and make them proud.” said Fadi.
Organized in partnership with Total and Falken, the UAE Qualifier was the second in the Red Bull Car Park Series, after the inaugural event took place in the Omani capital Muscat, and saw defending King of Drift Refaat Al Yahyai emerge victorious, aiming to keep the title in Oman for the third year running.
