Police find lost gold bracelet just before tourists fly away

DUBAI 26 September: It was touch and go – the family was about to leave the country – but Dubai Police managed to find their “stolen” gold bracelet and rushed in to hand it over to them just before they took off.

The Department of Tourism Police at the Dubai Police General Department of Investigations and Criminal Investigations said that the Asian family’s gold bracelet was lost – not stolen – during a tourist trip before they left the country.

But the family believing that the bracelet stole from them, reported it to the police.

Lt. Col. Dr. Mubarak bin Nawas, Director of the Tourist Police Department, stressed the keenness of the Police General Command to delight tourists of Dubai and to experience a memorable and unforgettable tourist experience.

He said: “The tourist police department received a message stating that the family had been robbed of a golden bracelet during their tour of the emirate. A team of Dubai Police was formed, and through investigation and research, they found the bracelet in a Safari vehicle, the family had used during a road trip.

“Dubai Police surprised the family, who were eating lunch at a Dubai restaurant before heading to Dubai International Airport to leave.”

The family thanked Dubai Police for the pleasant surprise and the speedin finding the bracelet. The Dubai Police also presented the family with souvenirs on the occasion of the visit, wishing their members more happiness.
