Rainy start to Tuesday – will it send mercury down… or up?

Unstable condition weather will decrease by Wednesday

DUBAI: The skies remain dark over the UAE – but this time because of rainy clouds which have vanquished the sandstorm that hit the Emirates yesterday.

Our own weather agency, the National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS), is urging motorists to be cautious on the roads, slow down, and leave enough space between vehicles due to rain of different intensity expected over different parts of the country.

NCMS forecast a high of 30°C and a low of 15°C in the mountains. The wind in the morning was cool and refreshing.

For today, NCMS says:Unstable weather and partly cloudy with increasing of cloud amounts, which, may develop as towering clouds associated with different intensity rain over scattered areas.

Significant drop in temperature, fresh winds strong at times especially in case of cloud activity, causing blowing sand/ dust and poor visibility over the exposed areas.

WEDNESDAY: Unstable condition weather will decrease by Wednesday.

The cloud amounts will gradually decrease over the country. Partly cloudy weather in general, moderate winds freshening at times, causing blowing sand/dust and poor visibility over exposed areas.

Sea will be rough at first, becoming moderate in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.

THURSDAY: Partly cloudy in general with moderate winds in general fresh at times.

May be causing blowing sand/dust and poor visibility over exposed areas.

Sea will be moderate and rough at times in the Arabian Gulf and moderate in Oman Sea.
