Ramadan begins from today; UAE greets the world

President, VP and Mohamed greet Arab and Islamic leaders

DUBAI 27 May 2017: UAE President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent cables to Their Majesties and Highnesses Kings, Emirs and Presidents of Arab and Muslim countries greeting them on the advent of the holy month of Ramadan.

In the cables, he wished them continued good health and well-being, and further progress and prosperity for the Arab and Islamic nations, said Wam.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, also sent similar cables to the Arab and Muslim leaders.

In the cables, Sheikh Mohammed wished for continued good health and well-being for the leaders, and for further progress and prosperity for the Arab and Islamic nations.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has received cables of congratulations on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan from Kings, Emirs and Presidents of Arab countries.

Sheikh Khalifa received cables of congratulations from His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Sultanate of Oman; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; His Majesty King Abdullah II of Jordan; and His Majesty King Mohammed VI of Morocco; President of the Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fatah el-Sisi, and Abdelaziz Bouteflika, President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria.

The UAE President also received the congratulatory cables from His Highness Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Crown Prince of Kuwait; and H.H. Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Cabinet Affairs of the Sultanate of Oman.

Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, received similar cables on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid also received greetings from Algeria’s President Abdelaziz Bouteflika, His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Saeed of Oman; His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, Amir of Kuwait; His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; His Majesty King Abdullah ibn Hussain of Jordan, Egypt President Abdelfattah El Sisi, and King of Morocco Mohammed VI.

Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, in telephone calls, has exchanged greetings with a number of leaders on the occasion of Ramadan.

He exchanged the greetings with Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, King Mohammed VI of Morocco, President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi of Egypt, President Omar Hassan al-Bashir of Sudan and President Idriss Deby of Chad.

Sheikh Mohamed conveyed greetings from President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He also extended sincere congratulations and best wishes for further progress and prosperity for the leaders and their countries.

The leaders extended their greetings and best wishes to H.H. Sheikh Mohamed on the occasion.

They prayed for further progress, glory and prosperity for the UAE and its people.

The leaders also wished for continued good health for H.H. Sheikh Khalifa, and for continued prosperity for Arab and Muslim nations.
