Saudi police arrested a local man and his wife after they seized with them nearly 30 kg of hashish and 600,000 drug pills.
Newspapers said police stopped the couple while on their way home in the capital Riyadh after suspecting they were carrying illegal items in their car.
Sada daily said police found 600,000 drug pills in the boot and then seized nearly 30 kg of hashish in the couple’s home.
“They are being questioned about the reasons for having such a big amount of drugs,” it said, quoting a police source.
