Second Dubai airport attack denied: All is normal

ABU DHABI 1 October 2018: The UAE’s General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), has denied media claims made by the Houthis regarding Dubai International Airport.

The aviation authority said on Sunday that UAE air traffic is operating as normal at the airport, said Wam.

“With regards to reports by questionable sources this morning, Dubai Airports can confirm that Dubai International (DXB) is operating as normal without any interruption,” said a tweet from the Dubai Government Media Office.

Late August Houthi media had claimed a drone attack on DXB.

RIYADH: Colonel Turki Al Malki, Official Spokesman of Saudi led Arab Coalition to Restore Legitimacy in Yemen, stated that the Royal Saudi Navy Forces detected an attempt by the terrorist Iranian-Houthi militia to target Port of Jazan.

According to the Saudi Press Agency, Al Malki clarified, “At (04:50) and (05:05) the Royal Saudi Navy Forces detected the movement of two remote control explosive boats headed to Port of Jazan. They were intercepted and destroyed in accordance with the Rules of Engagement, which has led to minimal damage.”

He reaffirmed, “The Joint Forces Command of the Coalition will strike with an iron fist all those who get involved with acts of terrorism, which threaten the safety of Saudi nationals, residents, economy and critical capabilities. Those hostile acts will not go by without holding the ones executing, plotting and planning them accountable for their actions.”
