DUBAI 6 June 2019: Residents and visitors from across the city came together to celebrate the first day of the joyous Eid Al Fitr holiday.
From spectacular fireworks displays at Al Seef and the beachfront La Mer to the Imagine show at Dubai Festival City Mall, people immersed themselves in Dubai’s festivities, making it an occasion to remember.
Eid Al Fitr was a special occasion across Meraas destinations this year.
On the first day of Eid, the reds, greens and electric silver sparks of Dubai’s most spectacular fireworks displays lit up the skies over La Mer and Al Seef. The young ones and the young at heart enjoyed unrivalled views of the incandescent dances of colour that took place at the two waterfront destinations.
A host of exciting parades and performances across Meraas’ leading destinations kept children entertained. Visitors revelled in the glitzy atmosphere of the Sapphire Parade at Al Seef, while the Fusion Parade at La Mer perfectly complemented the lively fireworks.
The Ballerina Show at City Walk made little dancers’ dreams come true as the Confectionery Parade at The Beach added a sweet flavour to the festivities. Meanwhile, the Fantasy Parade and Butterfly Parade at The Outlet Village created a magical fairytale ambiance.
Al Majaz Waterfront, one of Sharjah’s family leisure and tourist destinations celebrated Eid Al Fitr, with a spectacular 5-minute long fireworks on the first day of this occasion.
The fireworks show lit up the night sky in Sharjah, which was a treat for all shutterbugs. Staying true to its tradition, visitors of all ages, children and grownups were truly mesmerised by the stunning show and the vibrant energy of the venue, on the joyous occasion of Eid.
Al Montazah Parks in Sharjah’s is celebrating Eid Al Fitr with comprehensive packages of recreational events and activities that cater to all visitors. The destination is offering a variety of activations that reflect authentic Emirati heritage and popular Eid Al Fitr traditions. The event includes traditional emirati shows and folklore like the Ayala and Hibban performances.
The first day of festivities included acrobatic performances and live music performances. In the days that follow, visitors to the destination can also catch heritage-inspired musical shows.
All throughout Eid, Al Montazah Parks is offering a plethora of activities that would delight residents and tourists. Children can beat the heat at the Pearls Kingdom Water Park, which has reopened after Ramadan. The fun continues at the Island of Legends Theme Park, which features a variety of attractions and play zones.
