The Ruler of Sharjah was responding to one of the callers, promising him to establish a permanent pasture from Muhafiz to Al Fayah. His Highness noted, “We will plant the area between Muhafiz bridge and Qatah tunnel and surround it with a fence to be a nature reserve.”

“We will also forest the area between Suhaila and Zubaydah,” he further added.

Approves Sharjah Beach Development Project

Dr. Sheikh Sultan has approved the Sharjah Beach Development Project, which is part of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council’s (SUPC) strategic plan, aimed to develop diversified service projects with the objective of enhancing emirate’s people’s welfare and boosting infrastructure development.

The project, which is part of the Emirate’s infrastructure and urban development and conservation plan, will transform the area along the Sharjah Beach Road with a distance of 3.3 km into a leading tourism and leisure destination, with contemporary designs and premium services, simulating global destinations across advanced world cities.

The development of Sharjah Beach is in response to the directives and vision of Sheikh Dr. Sultan about the development of public spaces in Sharjah – a vision which is exemplarily translated by the efforts of the Sharjah Urban Planning Council, aimed to develop ambitious plans and strategies that will develop the Emirate’s public assets for the benefit of citizens, residents and visitors alike.

The SUPC Secretary-General added that the unique design of the Sharjah Beach will make it one of the most popular leisure destinations in the emirate. “The whole family can participate in recreational activities along the beach, relax or practice various sports in a wide range of amenities and public services.”
