Sharjah Executive Council convenes to address issues and future plans

SHARJAH 12 April 2017: The Executive Council of Sharjah met to discuss key issues including a report from Sharjah’s Directorate of Town Planning and Survey on the development in the Al Riqqa residential area.

The council also adopted the organisational structure of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, as part of efforts to keep pace with development taking pace in the emirate.

The council also reviewed a report by the Roads and Transport Authority on 2016 completed projects and those ongoing being implemented as per the directives of the Sharjah Ruler, monitoring infrastructure development and the provision of best services and roads in the emirate.

As part of a development plan, Sharjah’s Transportation Department, in co-operation with relevant authorities, carried out road projects worth Dh1.1 billion in 2016, said Yusuf Saleh Al Suwaiji, head of the department.

The Executive Council of Sharjah addressed a range of important issues and future projects and plans that would contribute to achieving overall development and providing a decent life for all citizens and residents in the emirate.

At the meeting presided over by Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, the council reviewed the Sharjah Consultative Council amendments to a draft law proposed by the Sharjah Government’s Finance Department.

The proposed law is highly important for the development of the Sharjah Government’s financial performance, said Sheikh Mohammed bin Saud Sultan Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Finance Department.

The Sharjah Executive Council will present the draft law to H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for approval.
