DUBAI 27 March 2019: Shazam! star Zachary Levi will headline this year’s Middle East Film & Comic Con (MEFCC) that will run in Dubai from 11 to 13 April.
He is the 24th and final celebrity to appear and joins other celebrities from the world of comics, films, cosplay, Hollywood and beyond.
Zachary Levi was best known for playing Chuck Bartowski in hit TV series Chuck before achieving worldwide fame as the title character in Warner Bros. Pictures/DC Films’ Shazam!, as a part of the DC Extended Universe. Widely credited for playing Billy Batson- the streetwise 14-year-old foster kid, who magically turns into an adult superhero when shouting Shazam!; fans of the superhero character can now get up and close and personal with the man behind the costume. Shazam! will be in cinemas on 4th April 2019.
Having mastered the superhero world, Levi is also known within the voiceover world. In 2010 Levi famously voiced Flynn Rider in the 3D computer-animated musical adventure film Tangled, in which he performed the duet ‘I See the Light’ with Mandy Moore; which notably won a Grammy for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
The 38-year-old American singer and actor has gone on to star in a string of successful movies including Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok. Superhero fans from across the region can meet with Levi over the three days of the show, as well as get up close and personal, by watching him live in the MEFCC Theatre, where he’ll be taking part in celebrity panels and Q&As.
Levi will be joining a stellar line-up of celebrities, including Mike Colter from Marvel’s Luke Cage, as well as Ross Marquand from the Walking Dead, Katie Cassidy from Arrow and Tara Strong, one of the world’s most prolific voice actors.
Middle East Film & Comic Con returns on 11-13 April 2019 at Dubai World Trade Centre. Tickets are now on sale at Platinumlist.net, Virgin Tickets online and all Virgin Megastores.
