DUBAI 19 April 2019: The Skechers Performance Run is back and with a new location. The timed-run will now be held next Friday at The Ripe Market at the Dubai Police Academy – the newly built community park.
Runners and fitness enthusiasts or those new to the sport can choose from a 5km or 10km run or run as part of a team with the 2.5km Family Run. After the race enjoy a fun morning of delicious treats from local produce and visit some of the best artisans, designers, jewellers’, artists and creators in town, as well as plenty of activities for the kids at The Ripe Market in the Dubai Police Academy, Umm Suqeim.
Teams can also register for the 10km Team Relay, with each runner completing 2.5km lap of the course.
The running event is aimed at facilitating and tracking runners’ progress with its regular runs every sporting season. It’s also the perfect event to kick start your running journey with a safe environment, plenty of support and lots of fun!
Priced between Dh110-160 per person, the event will include a post-event celebratory breakfast and an awards ceremony where everyone will receive prizes for taking part. Those aged under 12 can register for free when accompanied by an adult for the 2.5km or 5km run.
