A worker fatally stabbed his boss for trying to sodomise him in his car, the Dubai Criminal Court heard on Wednesday. ND, Pakistani, bled to death in the wee hours of May 9, after MN, 20, knifed him in the neck. The latter then fled with ND’s car and mobile phone, according to prosecutors.
Meanwhile, MN denied the charge, saying he acted in self-defence. “He tried to sodomise me. We engaged in a brawl. I stabbed him in self-defence. I did not intend to kill him.”
He also denied robbing the mobile phone. However, he confessed to fleeing the scene after the incident and said that the phone was in the car.
According to Prosecution records, ND was seen by a Pakistani in Al Quoz bleeding profusely and waving at motorists to help him. He informed police. However, he passed away by the time ambulance arrived.
Police officials who rushed to the site also testified to seeing the deceased lying in a pool of blood by the roadside.
MN explained that he had approached ND seeking a ob. ND offered him a job of loading and offloading goods. He also moved in with ND after starting work.
MN told the court that ND asked him to sleep with him every day, but he refused. On that fateful night, MN said he was tired of ND’s request that he decided not to work for him and walked out. ND followed him, trying to convince him that he should not walk at night. “Better sleep in my car.”
MN slept in his car. ND, meanwhile, got inside the car claiming he wanted to drive him away so that people do not see him sleeping in the car. But he had other intentions, MN claimed, and added that he attempted to forcefully sodomise him in the car. That’s when he stabbed him.
The court will adjourned until November.
