ABU DHABI 11 April 2019: The Terry Fox Run is back in Abu Dhabi with its 22nd edition. The run was first held in Canada in 1981, and today involves some 60 countries across the world each year with one main goal – to raise money for cancer research.
Terry Fox, a Canadian, was stricken by cancer and decided to run across the vast country to raise awareness and funds to fight cancer.
Every year since, millions of people around the world have participated in a Terry Fox Run by running, walking or cycling, to raise funds in his name and his honor. Here in Abu Dhabi, the run has raised Dh22 million to date.
The organisers are asking you to join once again to help raise money for cancer research.
