Ameera bin Karam, Chairperson of Sharjah Business Women Council, was laid to rest on Sunday along with her mom, 57, and sister, 40.
They lost their lives in a massive fire that broke out at their villa in Al Qadeseya area of Sharjah on Saturday afternoon.
Ameera bin Karam’s 32-year-old brother is receiving treatment at the ICU unit in Al Qassimi Hospital, reported ‘Gulf Today’.
Funeral prayer was held after Al Dhuhr prayer at Al Sahaba mosque. The funeral was attended by Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister for Culture and Knowledge Development, apart from a huge crowd of people including relatives and friends of the family.
Condolences have been pouring in from all quarters of the society, with people taking to social media to express their grief.
According to the Sharjah Civil Defence, the fire broke out at about 4pm on Saturday in the living room on the ground floor before spreading and engulfing the villa.
