UAE condoles Alwaleed’s father, Saudi Prince Talal’s death

ABU DHABI 23 December 2018: President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan has sent a cable of condolences to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud of Saudi Arabia, on the death of Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa prayed to Allah Almighty to bestow His mercy upon the soul of the prince and grant him paradise.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, dispatched similar cables to the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques.

The death was announced by the Saudi Royal Court earlier.

Funeral prayers for the late prince will be performed in Riyadh on Sunday (today) following the afternoon prayers, at Imam Turki bin Abdullah Mosque, added the statement carried by the Saudi Press Agency.

Prince Talal bin Abdulaziz, 87, was a supporter of reform in Saudi Arabia.

The senior member of the al-Saud family, he is the father of billionaire investor Alwaleed bin Talal.
