These UAE cops will not impound cars till March 31st… because of Happiness Day

AJMAN: Happy days are here again for many an erring driver in the smallest emirate of the UAE.

Ajman Police – on the occasion of International Happiness Day – have cancelled the impounding of cars for traffic violations until 31st March, on condition owners pay their traffic fines.

The move comes in appreciation of happiness as an international value that people from all over the world can aspire to, a statement from Ajman Police said. World Happiness Day was on Monday 20th March.

Major General Sheikh Sultan bin Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Commander-in-Chief of Ajman Police, said, “Happiness is one of the main requirements for ensuring happy lives for people. It motivates us to work harder with a dedication.”

On International Happiness Day, there was a traditional breakfast for command’s employees, and entertainment activities at the Penal and Correctional Institution for employees and inmates.

Emirates Post Group issues commemorative stamps for world happiness day

Emirates Post Group has issued a set of eight new commemorative stamps to celebrate the International Day of Happiness.

The new stamps feature the sun, the UAE flag, a smiling face, family and friends, the sea, the date palm tree, clouds, a flower, raindrops, and the symbols of the UAE’s National Programme for Happiness and Positivity.
