SHARJAH 2 June 2019: Have you seen the largest collection of meteorites in the world? The exhibition of rocks from space consists of 8,000 different meteorite pieces, offering a unique opportunity to study and explore the solar system and space.
The exhibition in Sharjah was opened by H.H. Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, and President of the University of Sharjah (UoS).
He was at the launch of four astronomical projects at the Sharjah Academy for Astronomy, Space Sciences, and Technology on Tuesday, said Wam.
The launch of these important projects is part of the Academy’s plans to develop scientific researches on space and astronomy in cooperation with the UAE Space Agency.
