ABU DHABI: The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces has announced the death of martyr First Sergeant Zakaria Sulaiman Obaid Al Zaabi, one of the UAE’s brave soldiers, in Yemen.
He lost his life during Operation Restoring Hope where the Arab Coalition, led by Saudi Arabia, is backing the legitimate government of Yemen.
The General Command of the UAE Armed Forces extended its condolences to the relatives of Zakaria Sulaiman Obaid Al Zaabi, praying to Allah to rest his soul in eternal peace, and bestow patience and solace on his family and relatives.
Coalition forces secure areas in Sana’a governorate
NAHM: In Yemen, the army, with the support of the Arab coalition, seized control of two areas in the Nahm District in Sana’a governorate.
The official Yemeni news agency quoted a military source as saying that the progress was made with air support from the Arab coalition which launched a series of raids on sites occupied by Houthi and Saleh militia who suffered heavy losses in both lives and equipment.
The army also announced victories in the province of Saada, seizing control of locations where coup militia were stationed. The report said that dozens of militiamen were killed or wounded, said Wam.
The army also reported that it had thwarted an attack by coup militia in the Sha’af Directorate of Al Jawf province.
