
AD Police raise readiness level
ABU DHABI 16 December 2017: Abu Dhabi Police has raised the level of readiness to deal with emergencies in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi during the current unstable weather.
The country is expected to witness unstable weather during the coming period from 15th to 18th December.
Abu Dhabi Police confirmed its readiness to deal all calls received by the Command and Control Centre of the Abu Dhabi Police, Al Dhafra and Al Ain in normal or exceptional circumstances, said Wam.
All police departments and directorates have completed their preparedness for the expected weather fluctuations in co-ordination with relevant departments.
Meanwhile, the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) said unstable weather conditions will continue over most areas of the country, cloud amount will increase, associated with rainfall of different intensity and may be lightening at times scattered places of the country. Moderate to fresh winds over land may cause rising dust, and fresh to strong at times over sea with clouds activity. Sea will be rough to very rough at times, especially with cloud activity in Arabian Gulf and Oman sea.
For Sunday, it said unstable weather conditions will continue.
