DUBAI 7 June 2018: Dubai Police has said that a video of a man on fire at Dubai Mall is fake.
The clip has been doing the rounds on social media with various attributions as to how the man caught fire. One claimed that his mobile phone burst into flames in his pocket.
An Arabic tweet from the Dubai Police General Command denied the incident of a “person on fire at Dubai Mall” as shown in the video clip.
It called on members of society not to spread rumors to avoid legal accountability. “We wish you happy and safe times,” it added.
