DUBAI 17 June 2019: Visitors to Dubai landing at the emirate’s airport will receive a free SIM card to help them communicate with their loved ones in the UAE and abroad.
The initiative is part of the ‘Connect Happily’ project, which has been launched jointly by three Dubai entities – Emirates Integrated Telecommunications Compan (Du), the Dubai arm of the General Directorate for Residency and Foreigners Affairs (GDRFA) and Smart Dubai.
The first phase of the Connect Happily project will enable travelers arriving on a tourist visa to receive a package that includes a free SIM card from Du.
The move is aimed at contributing to the achievement of the happiness agenda in Dubai.
