Weekend Dubai Fun: Where to go, what to do…

DUBAI 30 March 2018: There are four key events this weekend that you can visit and have fun in – alone or with the family.

First of all – it will be richest horse race in the world at Meydan on Saturday, 31st March followed by an after-event party.

And, if you’re into music and boy bands – you can go along this Friday to Global Village and for the entry fee of Dh15 only, get to hear and see live in concert former One Direction member, Liam Payne.

Then, there is Rise Dubai Creek Harbour, which will mark the grand finale of its second season on March 30 and 31, after 20 weeks of fun-filled activities that welcomed thousands of enthusiastic participants.

The final-weekend packs one of the busiest schedule of activities specially curated for families and children, including the largest collection of food vendors, workshops, arts and crafts, live performances by seasoned and young artists, and outdoor cinemas.

The Season 2 grand finale will feature several food vendors including Salt, Karak House, Clinton Street Baking, The Inventing Room, Khaleej Tacos and Bash Ahmad, among others, offering a delectable choice of culinary surprises.

Make the most of the Photo booth while children can head for creative pursuits including Rise T Shirt – Art, and face painting. Discover the thrills of Smart Living pods, Lego play areas, water painting, tilt brush and VR, while roaming buskers will offer many moments of good fun and cheer.

Several workshops will be held including music talent assessment, and collaborative art with Majida, as well as the Tarek Raffoul Instagram Workshop and special sessions by The Musicians LLC and Hatha Ismi. Myfkra presents the largest-to-date selection of 18 retail vendors offering a choice of knick-knacks, curios and accessories.

Be regaled by live entertainment by Moto Dancers, Rooh, a Dubai-based band, Rony Sarkis, Dina Rabadi, The Violin Twins, MC Mo, who entertains kids and parents alike, The Musicians and D-Tone. Watch the outdoor screenings of Penguins of Madagascar and Spiderman Homecoming, in addition to workshop screenings of Mr. Bean, Garfield, Tom & Jerry and the FIFA 18 game.

Bay Square to Host Ultimate Superhero Night

Bay Square at Business Bay is inviting its residents and visitors to take advantage of the pleasant weather and enjoy their evening through hosting a superhero night as well as a series of children’s workshops and entertainment.

On 30 March, Bay Square’s outdoor green area will transform into an open-air cinema as the destination screens popular 2017 superhero flick Spider-man Homecoming that guests can enjoy in a relaxed atmosphere while munching on delicious popcorn and cotton candy.

Prior to the screening, guests can also enjoy several live entertainment acts, and visit a superhero-themed photo booth to create memorable snapshots with comic creative backgrounds. Little guests can unleash their inner artists at the superhero cuffs and superhero masks workshops.

In line with the superhero night, the destination is offering a Spend & Win raffle draw that gives visitors the chance to win six tickets to enjoy a superhero experience at Al Aawal Platinum Power, the 2018 edition of the Middle East Film and Comic Con. To create the ultimate experience, Bay Square will hold the exciting “Spend & Win” raffle draw twice during the evening. Visitors who spend AED100 and more at any retail outlets across Bay Square are eligible to try their luck in the draw.
