The UAE’s National Centre of Meteorology and Seismology (NCMS) skirts the return of the cold to stay safely with the today’s and tomorrow’s ambit of weather forecast.

The gloomy skies and strong cold winds are, however, raising debase in family rooms across the UAE is the chill is about to return. Perhaps it’s not yet time to put away the ‘woolies’.

NCMS has warned against unstable weather conditions. Convective clouds with thunder and rain at times are to be expected. Fresh to strong winds with blowing dust/sand will result in poor visibility of less than 800 metres and rough seas in the Arabian Gulf and Oman Sea.

It says that the country is affected by atmospheric instability and weather partly cloudy to cloudy sometimes on some areas, with rainfall over different areas at intervals.

Wind is expected to be moderate to fresh, especially on the sea and on exposed areas, causing blowing dust and sand leading to reduced horizontal visibility at times. Sea is rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

NCMS says, atmospheric instability will continue to influence the country, with partly cloudy weather in general, and cloudy and hazy sometimes to some areas, with rainfall on different areas, especially in coastal areas and islands.

For Monday, continuing the influence of atmospheric instability over the country, partly cloudy weather in general, cloudy & hazy at times to some areas, with rainfall on different areas, especially coastal areas and Islands. Wind will be moderate to fresh, be strong at times on the sea and on exposed areas, causing blowing dust and sand leading to reduced horizontal visibility at times. Sea will be rough in the Arabian Gulf and Sea of Oman.

Rains lash Umm Al Quwain

The light to moderate intermittent rains lashed on Sunday morning the Emirate of Umm Al Qaiwain, causing a significant drop in temperature, while the rain water soaked some of lowest areas.

The sky is still overcast as more rains are expected in the coming hours.
