ABU DHABI 27 May 2017: Tourism Development and Investment Company (TDIC), the master developer of tourism, cultural and residential destinations in Abu Dhabi, has released a dozen rehabilitated Hawksbill turtles back to the sea to mark World Turtle Day, which is marked on 23rd of May.
The released turtles were rehabilitated at a special centre on Sir Bani Yas Island, said Wam.
The event took place at Saadiyat Beach Club, where representatives from TDIC’s environment team released the turtles in the presence of delegates from the Environment Agency, Abu Dhabi and more than 50 students and teachers.
