The world’s top athletes are set to descend on Dubai October 21-22 at Dubai International Marine Club, to meet fans at the UAE’s only international bodybuilding and fitness show – Dubai Muscle Show.
The landmark event for the UAE’s fitness industry, which is being organised in collaboration with Dubai Sports Council, will see legendary bodybuilders Ronnie Coleman and Jay Cutler, who have won a combined 12 Mr Olympia championships between them, appear together for the first time in the Middle East.
In total, more than 500 local and international athletes will come together for two days of exciting competitions, celebrity appearances, challenges, seminars and an exhibition with over 100 of the world’s leading health & fitness brands providing free samples and special offers to attendees.
Hessa Al Kous, Director of Events Department at Dubai Sports Council, said: “We are delighted to announce that so many of the world’s leading athletes and fitness brands will be at Dubai Muscle Show, as once again the attention of the global fitness community will be on Dubai this October.”
Dubai Muscle Show’s Strongest Man will be named during the show, as 12 competitors take on six seemingly inhuman tests of strength, such as atlas stone lifting, tyre flipping and yacht pulling, to discover who is the ultimate strongman.
Other highlights include the TK Amateur Championship, which sees 12 of Dubai’s best amateur cage fighters displaying their mixed martial arts skills inside a steal cage.
Dubai Muscle Show will also feature the IFBB Amateur Championship, organised in partnership with Universal Muscle, Fitness and Fashion, in association with Emirates Bodybuilding Federation.
The IFBB Amateur Championship, is the Middle East’s most prestigious and coveted annual bodybuilding event, featuring over 400 of the region’s most elite amateur athletes with an expected audience of over 2,500 people.
The celebrity athletes at Dubai Muscle Show, such as global fitness superstar Lazar Angelov boasting a social media following of over 17 million people, will be dedicated to meeting fans, with photos and autograph opportunities, whilst speaking about their careers and secrets for success, and participating in question and answer sessions so fans can find out what they always wanted to know from their heroes.
Lazar commented: “I’ve never been to Dubai. I can’t wait to meet my fans there. I was in Egypt and Kuwait before and they were amazing experiences. I love the people in Middle East because they always make me feel like I’m at home. Thanks to all my fans in Dubai for their support. Come and see me at Dubai Muscle Show on 21-22 October.”
