DUBAI 10 December 2018: Zaha Hadid’s statement of ultra luxury in the heart of Dubai – Opus – will open doors to ME Hotel by Melia by the end of this month, according to a tweet from Dubai Government Media Office quoting Forbes.

Dame Zaha Hadid, who was born in 1950 and died in 2016, was one of the biggest icons in the world of architecture and design.

In 2004 she became the first woman to win the Pritzker Prize, architecture’s Nobel. She was awarded the Dame Commander of the Order of the British Empire for services to architecture in 2012 and recently received the Riba’s 2016 royal gold medal.

The Opus is a tribute to Hadid’s magnum opus. She chose the Omniyat family for her foray into Dubai. The Opus was designed entirely by the icon herself, from exterior to interior, from start to finish, from concept to each unique detail.
