CAIRO 13 August 2017: Dr. Shawki Allam, the Grand Mufti of Egypt, on Saturday mourned the four Emirati soldiers who were martyred in a chopper crash while performing their routine duties in Yemen.
Dr. Shawki Allam offered heartfelt condolences and sympathies to the leadership, government and people of the UAE on the sad incident, said Wam.
He prayed the Almighty Allah to bless the martyrs with His mercy and grant their families the patience and solace to bear their loss.
RAK Ruler performs funeral prayer for martyr Jassem Al Zaabi
RAS AL KHAIMAH: H.H. Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, performed the funeral prayer for martyr 1st Lieutenant Pilot Jassem Saleh Al Zaabi, at the Humaid Al Qasimi Mosque in Ras l-Khaimah.
The martyr fell while performing his national duty as part of Operation Restoring Hope, led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government of Yemen.
Sheikh Saud offered his sincere condolences to Al Zaabi’s family, praying to Allah to bestow his mercy and eternal peace on the martyr’s soul and to grant his family patience and solace to bear the loss.
Sheikhs, senior local officials, tribal chiefs, notables, dignitaries, army officers and personnel as well a crowd of Emirati citizens and residents were also present.
Ajman CP performs funeral prayer for martyr Samir Abu Bakr
AJMAN: Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman, performed the funeral prayer for martyr Warrant Officer Samir Mohamed Murad Abu Bakr, at Sheikh Zayed Mosque in Ajman, after Maghreb prayer on Saturday.
The martyr fell while performing his national duty as part of Operation Restoring Hope, led by Saudi Arabia to back the legitimate government of Yemen.

Funeral prayer held for martyr Ahmed Al Baloushi
AL AIN: A funeral prayer was held for Emirati serviceman Captain Ahmed Khalifa Al Baloushi, who died while performing his national duty, as part of Operation Restoring Hope being conducted by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to back the legitimate government in Yemen.
Worshippers and mourners performed the funeral prayer for the martyr at the Armed Forces Martyrs Mosque in Al Ain. They carried his body to Al Matawaa graveyard, where he was laid to rest.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the martyr and to grant his family patience and solace.
Funeral prayer held for martyr Mohammed Saeed Al Hassani
FUJAIRAH: A funeral prayer was held for Emirati serviceman Mohammed Saeed Al Hassani, who died while performing his national duty, as part of Operation Restoring Hope being conducted by the Saudi-led Arab Coalition to back the legitimate government in Yemen.
Worshippers and mourners performed the funeral prayer for the martyr at the Rabeea bin Aamri Mosque in Dhadna, Fujairah. They carried his body to the Dhadna graveyard, where he was laid to rest.
They prayed to Allah Almighty to bless the soul of the martyr and to grant his family patience and solace.
Coalition helicopter makes emergency landing due to malfunction
RIYADH: The official spokesman of the Coalition to Restore Legitimate Government of Yemen, Colonel Turki Al Malki announced that a coalition helicopter made an emergency landing within the a legitimate Yemeni government territory, due to a malfunction.
The Saudi Press Agency (SPA) quoted Colonel Al Malki as saying the helicopter made the landing while returning from an inland mission in Yemen.
US military aircraft suffers minor incident in Bahrain; no casualties reported
MANAMA: A US military aircraft yesterday had a minor incident that left no human casualties, Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications announced.
The incident was handled in accordance with the Bahrain International Airport’s contingency plans, Bahrain News Agency, BNA, quoted a ministry statement as saying.
Flights to and from the Bahrain International Airport are back to normal after the necessary safety procedures had been taken, the statement said.
Arab Coalition asks UN to run Sana’a International Airport
RIYADH: The Arab Coalition to Restore the Legitimate Government in Yemen has requested the UN to contribute in resuming flights from and to Sana’a International Airport through managing airport security and putting the legitimate Yemeni government fears to rest.
Official spokesman of the coalition, Colonel Turki Al Malki, said that the Joint Forces Command had followed what was published by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen regarding banning commercial flights from and to Sana’a International Airport, adding that the coalition command had and is still working to its best efforts to ensure the safe arrival of all commercial, cargo and relief flights to all Yemeni airports in Sana’a, Aden, Al Hudaydah, Seiyun, Mukalla and Socotra through issuing proper flight permits for all incoming requests, and assigning Bisha National Airport for air traffic management in accordance with UNSCR 2216.
“Closing Sana’a airport and limiting it to relief efforts came as a precaution to ensure the safety of all inbound commercial and cargo flights due to the Houthi armed militia’s attempts to smuggle arms into the country. As a result, we have assigned airports in liberated, and safe cities as alternatives at the request of the Yemeni government. Thus, these precautionary measured should not be stigmatised as cause of suffering for Yemeni people,” he was quoted by the Saudi Press Agency as saying.
He explained that the number of flight permits issued to every Yemeni airport ever since the beginning of operations has reached 5,765 for commercial, cargo and humanitarian relief flights, and asked UN to contribute in resuming flights from and to Sana’a airport through managing airport security and putting the legitimate Yemeni government fears to rest.
“Should airport management and security be conducted properly, insuring the safety of all inbound flights and stopping arms smuggling, Joint Forces Command is prepared to restore normal flight activity.”
