
DUBAI: The first of five new parks to open for residents of the emirate of Dubai will be in Al Warqa 3.
Dubai Municipality will open the park part of the 37th UAE Plantation Week celebrations from 12-16th March under the slogan, ‘Let’s plant a greener emirate together’. All municipalities in the country are participating.
During the week, more parks will be opened such as the Nad Al Sheba 2 Park, Al Khawaneej Pond Park, Al Mizhar 2 Park, Hatta Valley Park as well as the Hatta Square.
Abu Dhabi Moving Ahead
Meanwhile, Abu Dhabi City Municipality will begin the week on Monday, 13th March, with the planting of a palm tree in keeping with the annual tradition. During the week an exhibition will be held to showcase the latest agricultural technologies, irrigation means and new concepts of agriculture, parks and landscaping.
In 2016 a number of agricultural projects and parks were accomplished. More parks and landscaping projects are being undertaken in 2017.
