Abu Dhabi launches Dh520m fund for tech startups

ABU DHABI 24 March 2019: Abu Dhabi Government today launches a brand new know-how hub, dubbed as ‘Hub 71’, at a cost of Dh520 million, to supply monetary incentives to tech startups.

Launched under the aegis of Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, and Chairman of the Executive Committee, the ‘Hub 71’ taps into the government’s Ghadan 21 Dh50 billion stimulus programme.

It aims to further underpin the emirate’s status as a vibrant and integrated destination of choice for tech companies and startups in collaboration with key firms specialising in this field from around the world, said Wam.
