DUBAI 12 August 2017: UAE-based Al Maya Group has recently opened its 51st supermarket in Dubai.
The announcement came during the group’s participation in ‘World Food India 2017’ roadshow in Dubai led by Sadhvi Niranjan Jyoti, India’s Minister of State, Ministry for Food Processing Industries.
Kamal Vachani, Group Director, Al Maya Group on met Sadhvi and informed the minister that fresh fruits and vegetables and other Indian products are available in Al Maya Supermarkets.
The minister invited Al Maya Group to visit ‘World Food India 2017’ which is being held in New Delhi, India, from November 3-5. Al Maya Group will send its delegation to the exhibition.
The Government of India is eyeing an investment worth $10 billion in next five years in the food processing sector. The country has seen 40 per cent growth in FDI in multi-branded food retail after it announced 100 per cent FDI in the sector last year.
