DUBAI 11 August 2020: The Consulate General of India, Dubai will be celebrating 74th Indian Independence Day on Saturday, August 15, 2020 — virtually.
Consul General of India to Dubai and Northern Emirates, Dr Aman Puri will unfurl the tricolour at 07:30 am, followed by the national anthem and reading out a message from the President of India. This will be followed by a short cultural programme. The programme will be attended by Indian Consulate officials only.
“Due to ongoing Covid 19 situation and social distancing norms, it is not possible for the people to come to the consulate to celebrate this day. Hence, we request people to join us virtually on Facebook page India In Dubai – Consulate General of India, Dubai (@IndianConsulate.Dubai) and our twitter handle India In Dubai (@cgidubai) for live updates,” said a CGI statement.
“We look forward to celebrating this auspicious occasion with you virtually,” it added.
