Clikon launches in Carrefour stores across the GCC

‘Switching on lights’ at Carrefour Shindagha

DUBAI 26 August 2017: Clikon, one of the region’s fastest growing brands for home appliances and consumer electronics, announced its agreement with retail major Carrefour to distribute Clikon’s ‘MyLight’ flashlight and other range of products at Carrefour outlets across the GCC.

The agreement was signed between Faizal Abdul Karim, Business Head of Clikon and Carrefour at a ‘switching on the lights’ ceremony held at City Centre Shindagha.

Owned by Majid Al Futtaim, Carrefour is one of the largest hypermarket and supermarket chains in the world with presence in 38 countries across the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Clikon is a major consumer electronics and household appliances brand in the GCC and Indian markets. The wide range of products under the brand includes lighting, kitchen appliances, home appliances and entertainment devices.

Abudulla Poyil, Chairman of Clikon, said, “We are pleased to join the regional retail giant Carrefour. Clikon has achieved an accelerated growth in the past couple of years as a home-grown brand and with our agreement with Carrefour, we will take our brand to the next level. We are in a strong market position and will strengthen our sales by 20 per cent with the foray into Carrefour chain of stores.”
