84,919 more get covid vaccine; 3,529 new cases

ABU DHABI 22 January 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 84,919 more doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered.

The total number of doses provided stands at 2,246,069, with a rate of vaccine distribution of 22.71 doses per 100 people.

MoHAP) conducted 163,285 additional Covid-19 tests, and announced 3,529 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 267,258.

According to the ministry, the infected individuals are from various nationalities, are in a stable condition, and receiving the necessary care, said Wam.

MoHAP also announced 4 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 766.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished ovid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 3,901 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 239,322.
