2.42 million doses of vaccine; 3,566 new cases

ABU DHABI 24 January 2021: The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) has announced that 87,720 more doses of the Covid-19 vaccine have been administered.

The total number of doses provided so far stands at 2,426,793 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 24.54 doses per 100 people.

MoHAP also conducted 174,172 additional Covid tests, and announced 3,566 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 274,376.

MoHAP also announced 7 deaths due to Covid-19 complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 783.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished Covid-19 patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 4,051 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 247,318.
