3.6+ million have died from covid worldwide

ABU DHABI 27 May 2021: More than 167.86 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 3,626,768 have died, according to a Reuters tally.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

The UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 225,954 Covid-19 tests and announced 1,757 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 561,048.

MoHAP also announced 3 deaths due to complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,661.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 1,725 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 540,886.
