Worldwide covid deaths cross the 4 million mark

LONDON 30 June 2021: More than 181.45 million people have been reported to be infected by the novel coronavirus globally and 4,086,690 have died, according to a Reuters tally on Tuesday.

Infections have been reported in more than 210 countries and territories since the first cases were identified in China in December 2019.

2,184 new UAE cases, 2,105 recoveries, 5 deaths

The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP) conducted 281,043 Covid-19 tests and announced 2,184 new coronavirus cases, bringing the total number of recorded cases in the UAE to 631,160.

MoHAP also announced five deaths due to complications, bringing the total number of deaths in the country to 1,807.

The ministry expressed its sincere condolences to the family of the deceased and wished patients a speedy and full recovery. It called on all members of the society to cooperate with health authorities, adhere to the instructions and physical distance to ensure the health and safety of all.

MoHAP also noted that an additional 2,105 individuals had fully recovered from Covid-19, bringing the total number of recoveries to 609,711.

The total number of vaccine doses provided stands at 15,198,661 with a rate of vaccine distribution of 153.67 doses per 100 people.
