Dreams come true in Dubai: Cleaner wins luxury BMW

DUBAI 11 April 2017: A young Nepali cleaner’s life changed overnight in Dubai when he won a brand new BMW car in an online competition. But, sadly, he doesn’t hold a licence to drive this luxurious vehicle and instead aims to sell it.

Arun Adhikari, a 21-year old Nepali father of one, and cleaner at Dubai Metro, was randomly chosen by a representative from the Department of Economic Development as the winner of a new BMW 3 Series, 2017 model. The car was handed over to Arun at the AGMC BMW Showroom in Sheikh Zayed road Dubai on April 6, 2017.

The competition was run by by A2Zarabia.com in line with the UAE’s year of giving.

Speaking about his excitement of winning a brand new BMW, Arun Adhikari said, “When A2Zarabia.com called me to tell me I had won, I could not believe it – me? I entered the competition, and I don’t even have a driving license.

“I have decided to sell the car, and use the money to start a small business or a coffee shop back home – this money will enable me to provide a better future for my family, and my new born daughter who I have not seen yet.
