Dubai Chamber discusses bilateral co-operation with Argentina

DUBAI, 3rd November, 2016 (WAM) — The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is organising next week the inaugural Global Business Forum Latin America, to strengthen trade ties with Argentina and Latin America, by identifying new trade and investment opportunities.

This was disclosed by Majid Saif Al Ghurair, Chairman of the DCCI, during his meeting with Gabriela Michetti, Vice President of Argentina and her delegation. The meeting discussed ways to develop bilateral co-operation with Argentina.

Al Ghurair stressed on the Dubai Chamber’s efforts in strengthening trade ties with Argentina and Latin America as a whole, by identifying new trade and investment opportunities while highlighting the chamber’s commitment to provide all the facilities to Argentinian investors and Dubai businesses in enhancing bilateral ties between the two sides.

He also said that Dubai provides an investor-friendly environment in its various economic sectors which are supported by modern infrastructure and logistics, and financial facilities, for Argentinian companies looking for a base in Dubai as well as enter the regional market for the growth of their businesses.

Michetti urged UAE investors to enhance economic and investment co-operation between the two countries and to benefit from the various attractive investment opportunities offered by Argentina to overseas investors seeking strategic business partnerships.

She further stressed that Argentina and the UAE share a common vision for future growth and can work together to boost investments by sharing mutual experiences and expertise to develop various potential sectors. Her country is open to co-operation with the world which today is interconnected and willing to overcome geographic distances, she said.

The meeting was attended by senior officials from both sides.
