DUBAI 29 August 2018: Dubai has joined 22 global cities and regions in a war against waste.
The emirate has signed ‘Advancing Towards Zero Waste Declaration’, according to a tweet by the Government of Dubai Media Office.
These cities and regions have pledged to cut the amount of waste generated by each citizen by 15 per cent by 2030.
They have also committed to reduce the amount of waste sent to landfills and incineration by 50 per cent.
