Espajlita M wins gold in Fillies at Emirates Cup

Dubai, 26th August, 2024 (WAM) – Under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister, Chairman of the Presidential Court, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Emirates Arabian Horse Society (EAHS), and the follow-up of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad Al Nahyan, Vice Chairman of the Board of Directors of the EAHS, the Czech Republic hosted the 9th Show of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup for the 2024 season.

The event saw the participation of 55 horses belonging to 31 owners from the Czech Republic and other EU countries, as the competition was fierce in what is considered the 3rd leg of the EAHGC in Europe after the French and Danish shows and is held in conjunction with the Prague Intercup – International Arabian Horse Show 2024.

EAHS Director General Mohamed Al Harbi attended the event and crowned the winners, as the golden medal in the Senior Stallions Championship was awarded to Paris for Polia Arabians, while Petrus PA won the silver medal for PPH Parys, and Nico De Napoli was the bronze medal winner for Sarka Nemeckova.
Meanwhile in the Junior Fillies Championship Espajlita M won the golden medal for owner Piotr Podgorny, and Kataryna AO was the silver medal recipient for owner Adam Ochman, ahead of bronze medal winner Psyche Roksana for Stadnina Koni Chrcynno.

Monarchio, owned by Bogdan Maslanka was the golden medal winner in the Junior Colts Championship after a tough competition with silver medalist KA Messi for Pavel Kanka, leaving Jamaal AQ to place third for the bronze medal for owner Eliska Bernardova.

Finally, the Senior Mares Championship was won by Binduga for Suweco CZ and Nina Suskevicova, while Persia Touch SW brought back the silver medal for the same owner, and Parisana PA received the bronze medal for PPH Parys.

The Czech Republic championship is the 9th and penultimate show of the 1st edition of the Emirates Arabian Horse Global Cup, with the finale coming up next month on 20th-21st September in the Syrian capital Damascus.

The EAHGC consists of 10 championships held in the Middle East, Europe, Africa, Australia, and South and North America, in coordination with the competent authorities in each country, with valuable cash prizes allocated for the first five winners of each round.
