ABU DHABI 31 December 2018: The Integrated Transport Centre (ICT), at the Department of Transport Abu Dhabi has announced that all surface parking bays will be free of charge on New Year holiday starting from Tuesday, 1st January, 2019 to Wednesday, 2nd January, till 7:59 p.m.
Parking is free in other emirates too on January 1, 2019.
The ICT has urged the public not to park their vehicles in prohibited areas and not to block vehicles or traffic flow. The public should adhere to resident permit parking bays regulations from 09:00 p.m. to 08:00 a.m.
All public buses will operate as usual on Tuesday 1st January, except services no. 40, 42, 67, 69 and 65 will not transport to celebration areas in Maryah Island as the road will close from 9:00 p.m. to midnight on Monday 31st December, 2018, said Wam.
All Customer Service Centres will be closed on the New Year’s holiday and will resume work on Wednesday, 2nd January.
