DUBAI 31 December 2018: Today is New Year’s Eve – will you go out to celebrate or will you stay at home and watch the world inspiring fireworks from the comfort of your couch at home?

Traffic will be a major hurdle for those wanting to hit the streets for the New Year celebrations, but then there is nothing like being part of ringing in another year with mesmersing fireworks and fanfare with thousands of others.

People in and around Dubai are spoiled for choice. The UAE has been preparingfor one of the biggest and the best shows the country has ever seen.

The Burj Khalifa is getting its final touches if you’d prefer to ring in the New Year at Dubai Downtown. Perhaps, getting to Global Village will be easier and organisers there promise a spectacular 7-fireworks show marking the advent of the New Year from the East to the West.

Or perhaps you’d like to go to Ras Al Khaimah where they are making a bid for a Guinness Book of World Records.

Closer by are Majaz Waterfront and Al Noor Island.
