DUBAI 28 July 2017: Two staff in a human resources solution company allegedly forged no objection certificates (NOCs) for a fee of Dh500 to Dh1,000 per letter making between Dh75,000 to Dh150,000.

The Dubai Criminal Court heard that the owner of the company asked the operations manager to investigate cases where of some of the company’s workers had obtained driver licences without him signing any no objection letters.

“The two admitted to stealing letterheads of the company and forging the signature and seal. They admitted to forging 150 no objection certificates for issuing driver licence to 150 of the company’s workers against Dh500 to Dh1,000 per letter,” testified MS.

The workers submitted the letters to driving schools against which they got training and obtained driver licences.

After obtaining driver licences, the subject workers looked for driver jobs with other employers and left the company.

The court will reconvene on August 6.
